HTPS’s Sailing School’s Competent Crew course, equips you with the skills needed to act as a crew member of a sail boat. The course is aimed at anyone interested in starting a sailing hobby and does not require previous experience.
You can avail a discounted price for the course, if you are are already a member of HTPS. Alternatively, you can opt to apply for a membership by filling in the membership application form when purchasing the course and avail the discounted price.
The course is organised over the week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings consisting mostly of theory, with some practical exercises on water. Friday evening, as well as all of Saturday and Sunday will be spent on water. Thursday is a day off.
The course will be held at HTPS club island, Pyysaari and runs from 5 PM to 9 PM on weekdays and 9 AM to 6 PM on the weekend.

The course will be organised according to standards of Finnish Sailing Teachers Association – a Traficom audited and approved sailing institute.
The course price will include a snack, coffee or tea during weekdays and a lunch meal on the weekend.
