Helsinki Työväen Pursiseura has long been known for its sailing competitions. The Emäsalo round has been sailed in the spring since 1949. The weekly competitions gather sailors on Tuesday evenings in Kruunuvuorenselkä and for the aftersail in Pyysaari. The anniversary competition is the keel boat classes’ track competition in early summer, and the Kruna’s cup wooden boats’ evening competition in August.
